AA Priority is the ability to automatically allocate rooms in a certain order
AA priority will come in to effect when bookings come in via online channels when auto allocate has been enabled. It will also be used when using the Allocate/UnAllocate.
When setting the AA Priority it is important to know in which order the numbers allocate.
The rooms will allocate from the highest number down to the lowest. Please note that “0” is also considered a level and will be allocated last.
For example:
- Room 101 is set to 1
Room 102 is set to 9
In this example, room 102 would be allocated first.
When in the rooms section, there are two options to update the rooms.
The first option is to use the “Edit All Rooms” button:
This will display all rooms in the database. The AA priority can then be updated via the AA Priority section.
The second option is to click on the individual room from the list on the left:
Once completed Click Save.
Best Practise
When setting the rooms set them by room type category rather than individual rooms.
For example
If rooms 101, 109, 110 are DBL and rooms 102, 104,111 are TWIN, they could be then set up as follows, depending on preferred order.
Room Number | AA Priority | Room Number | AA Priority |
101 | 1 | 102 | 1 |
109 | 2 | 104 | 2 |
110 | 3 | 111 | 3 |
In this example, if two reservations were allocated in at the same time – one DBL and one TWIN, rooms 110, and 111 would be allocated first.
Please note, if a reservation is allocated on the day of arrival, Rezlynx will prioritise rooms that are Vacant and Clean, ignoring the Auto Allocate Priority.
