Pre Connection
- Before you start, the property must already be a Contracted Client of the Travel Agent you wish to connect to. Until this is in place you will not be able to connect the Travel Agent through Extended Channels.
- In the Travel Agent portal you must select the Channel OTA Switch as the connecting partner, if this is not available then select STAAH. Guestline should not be selected.
- The Rates in Rezlynx that need to be mapped through to the Travel Agent need to be built in full making sure no dates have Zero prices and all relevant restrictions are in place.
Please note: If you wish to be able to close out separate Travel Agents, then each Agent should have its own rate plan built in Rezlynx.
The information you will need to process the connection is as follows:
- Property ID from the Travel Agent
- Room Type Codes / Descriptions and what they match to in the Rezlynx
- Rate Plan Codes
Some Connections will require further information such as:
- The XML user ID & Password (this is the ID you use to access the Travel Agent extranet - this may need to be requested from your Account Manager from the Travel Agent)
- Currency – Local Currency that the rates are to be sold in
- Multiplier and or Surcharge information (to Increase rates by an amount)
- Nett or Sell Rates (local taxes removed or inclusive) this is only currently available by Property not by rate plan.
Entering the Extended Channels section of the system.
When you click into Extended Channels for the first time all available connections will be shown in a Greyed out cell. When Travel Agents are mapped they will change into a colour as shown below and any not mapped will remain greyed out.
Selecting a Travel Agent for Going live
Click on the Grey box for the Travel Agent you wish to connect with.
This will then give you the information needed to connect with that Travel Agent .
The connection gives you bullet points of what is needed to connect, some channels will have a mapping guide icon on the top right of the screen giving an in-depth breakdown of what is needed to connect to the Travel Agent.
Once you have completed the first screen the Travel Agent will be connected to the system and you can move on to the mapping of Rooms & Rates.
There will be a box with 3 options:
EDIT – will take you back to the previous main screen if any adjustments are needed.
MAP – will give you a list of all available Rezlynx rate plans that are available for mapping to the Travel Agents. (See below for mapping guide)
REMOVE – will remove the Channel from being active. ** This should only be used if you do not wish to partner with this channel and a separate process MUST be followed to disconnect. Click here to follow the process (ADD LINK TO HELP PAGE)
The Number in brackets as shown above will relate to how many rates are mapped to the Travel Agent.
The line that appears next to the property code as shown above, will indicate if it is Live (Green) or Inactive (Red), depending on the toggle to take the channel live being set to Inactive or Live.
Mapping Rooms & Rates to the Travel Agents
