A place to manage your cancellation policies, allows you to create, update and delete your cancellation policies. These cancellation policies can then be assigned to a rate on your rate plan page.
Cancellation Policies are created to determine if a booking can be cancelled by the booker and if cancellation charges would apply.
If you have Self cancellations activated this will allow the booker to cancel their own reservation. (only applicable to bookings made direct or via DBM)

How to Create Cancellation Policies
Rezlynx > System > Rates > Cancellation Policies
- Click Create New Policy
- You can add more languages by clicking the +, please note the system will not auto-translate this would need to be completed.
- Enter the Policy Name
- Enter the Policy Description
- this will be visible via the manage my booking page and also if you pull the tag on the template created in Template Editor and send to the booker
- Choose the Penalty Code
- Choose the Penalty amount - only if using Fixed or Percentage for the Penalty Code
- Enter Days Prior Arrival
- Choose the Hour
- Click Save
How to add the Cancellation Policy to a Rate Plan
Rezlynx > System > Rates > Rate Plans
Once you click on a rate under the Misc section, use the Cancellation Policy drop-down to select the correct policy. This will auto-save once selected.
How to add the Cancellation Policy to a Template
Rezlynx > System > Template Editor
Once you are in the template by using the drop-down box:
- Click on the Body tab
- Use the Tags tab on the right and scroll down until you see "Cancellation Policy"
- Click on the template where you want the policy to sit and then double-click on the tag
- Click back onto a blank space on the template before clicking Save
