Rate plans for upsells are no longer configured within Distribution Hub - they are now set within Rezlynx PMS.

Guestline will migrate all existing upsell configuration within Distribution Hub into Rezlynx PMS. Therefore the new section within the PMS for each of those products will show them exposed to the appropriate rate plans selected based on the current Distribution Hub settings.
You can create a product upsell within Rezlynx PMS for exposure to Distribution, DBM, GuestStay, GuestPortal and Kiosk in a few easy steps.
Important: The product must be built in Rezlynx PMS before proceeding with the instructions below.
How to distribute an upsell
- Within Rezlynx navigate to System, then within the Rates menu select Products.
- From the product menu down the left hand side of the screen, select the product you have created.
- Select the Distribution Tab.
- Select where the product should be offered, including:
- PMS only if no boxes are selected.
- Available to be booked via systems generating new reservations (Distribution Hub, its API, Guestline Web Services, or DBM).
- Available in GuestStay, including its portal and kiosk.
- Select which rate plans offer this product by clicking into the box and then selecting the required rates from the drop down.
- Note: You can select individual rate plans or categories.
6. Click Save and this will re-sync this information to the Distribution Hub.
If you have GuestStay or DBM, extra sections need to be completed
When the option for GuestStay, Kiosk and Guest Portal is ticked the below options will appear to confirm how the upsell should be handled.
If instant confirmation, the item will be added to the reservation at time of booking and payment will be requested. If you have GuestPay then the payment can be processed and automatically and will automatically update to the reservation in Rezlynx PMS.
If on request is selected, the guest will not be charged for the item until it has been confirmed by the hotel, or until the guest arrives. - manual if accepted
After saving the changes in PMS, you can review these updates within the Distribution Hub’s upsells page to verify the rate plans shown match the configuration you have just added. You can then add the description, add an image here if required and display order. From now on the products will be in sync between PMS and distribution.
To review and update the product within Distribution Hub, follow the steps below:
- Navigate to Distribution Hub Upsells via:
- Within Rezlynx PMS, select Distribution Hub, then within the DBM/RoomlynxAPI menu select Upsells
- Within Distribution Hub, select Channels, then within the Booking Modules menu select Upsells
- Click Edit next to the upsell you have just created.
- Review and edit the following features:

Description - The text that will appear used to describe the upsell in more detail

Date Range - The dates that the product will be available between

Day of Week (DOW) - The days of the week the upsell will be available for purchase

Charge on Prepayment - Should the upsell be available on a rate plan that has pre-payment config attached, ticking this box will add the value of the upsell to the pay now amount

Charge Mode - How the product will charge to the reservation (must match Rezlynx identically)

Posting Mode - When the product will post to the reservation (must match Rezlynx identically)

Amount - The amount the upsell will cost/add to the reservation

Display Order - Should you have multiple upsells assigning it a order will make your upsells appear in this order

Notes - To appear on confirmation notes

Picture - The picture that will be used to promote this upsell - see How to upload an image on DBM

Rate Plans - Check these are as configured within Rezlynx PMS within the Products "Distribution" tab.
