1. Introduction
TRU//ST Payments Pay by Link option allows a link to be generated that can be sent out to a client/guest for payment.
The Pay by Link payment is available through your MyST Platform which can be accessed via Rezlynx Misc Tab or via the TRU//ST Payments MyST website.
Please Note: Currently once payment has been made using the Pay by Link – the payment would have to be manually entered into Rezlynx. Guestline is currently working on a full integration to the PMS.
2. Logging on
You can log into your My ST platform:
• Through the MyST portal page https://myst.securetrading.net/login
You will be provided with your unique username and password when you sign up to Secure Trading. For more information on your log in details, please see a manager or call the Secure Trading support team.
3. Accessing ST PayMe (Pay by Link Setup)
Once logged in, to access the ST PayMe setup select ST PayMe on the left-hand side.
4. Setting up the Transaction
The following screen will be displayed.
You will then need to fill out the details in the different sections:
The minimum required information for a Pay by Link to be processed would be:
1. Order reference
2. Amount
3. Customer details
4. Either Send Email or Generate Link
Payment Details:
• Site Reference:
Your hotel's reference in TRU//ST Payments.
• Order Reference:
Assign a customer reference of your own. You can use this to identify the transaction at a later time. For example, the booking reference, surname on booking and date of arrival. BK000987 – Pay By Link – Elske – 12/05/2020.
• Transaction Amount:
Enter the transaction amount.
• Settle Status:
(there should be no need to change this from “0”), however other options will be shown.
By default, this is set to “0 – Pending settlement”. This allows TRU//ST Payments internal Fraud and Duplicate checks to be performed (if enabled) and the transaction will normally settle within 24 hours.
This can also be set to “1 – Manual settlement”, which will bypass the TRU//ST Payments internal Fraud and Duplicate checks (if enabled) and the transaction should settle within 24 hours.
Alternatively, the transaction can be set to “2 – Suspended”. After seeking authorisation from the issuing bank, this will put the transaction on hold indefinitely, until you manually update the status again at a later time.
• Settle due date:
Providing the transaction is authorised by the issuing bank, this is the date the funds will be settled into your bank account.
• Payment pages version:
Specify the Payment Pages version and profile to be used when the customer performs the payment. There are two options:
Profile – For Payment Pages version 2, you can specify a custom profile, which is used to apply changes to the appearance and behaviour of the page.
Email Details:
• First / last name:
You can enter a billing name here. This will be shown on the email received by the customer, and also pre-fills the billing name fields shown on the hosted Payment Pages (the customer can alter these on the page before completing the payment).
• Email to:
You will need to enter the customer’s billing email address here. This is where the email is sent, and is also displayed within the billing email address field on the hosted Payment Pages (the customer can alter this on the page before completing the payment). Email addresses can have a maximum length of 255 (maximum of 64 characters before the “@” symbol).
• Bcc email to:
This will send a copy of the ST PayMe email to the address specified here. When including multiple email addresses, separate with commas(,) or semicolons(;). Email addresses can have a maximum length of 255 (maximum of 64 characters before the “@” symbol).
• Email reply to:
When the customer attempts to reply to an ST PayMe email, their email client will populate the “To” field with this address.
• Email subject:
This will default to “Invoice for payment”. However you can amend the information with more information such as the booking reference, surname and date of arrival.
Additional Section
This section is only applicable when opting to have Trust Payments email the payment link directly to the customer, rather than generating a link for you to send manually.
This section contains a large text box. You can enter additional information here, and this will be included in the email sent to the customer (e.g. Personalised message to the customer).
5. Generating the link
There are two options available to you:
- Send Email – email send directly to guest with Payment Details.
- Generate Link – link can be copied into email or other form of communication.
Send email
Providing you have filled out the “Email details” section on the page, this will immediately send an email directly to the customer containing a link to the payment page.
GUEST VIEW – this is what the Guest will receive in their email.
The Guest will receive an email and they will need to fill out the appropriate information on the screen and click pay.
Generate link
Clicking this button will generate a link that is immediately displayed to you within the browser, allowing you to copy this to your clipboard and paste into a message to your customer (as shown below):
A generated link can only be used by one customer. If you need to send payment links to multiple customers, you will need to generate a new link for each customer.
