Summary
This article and embedded video are intended to be used as a guide for Guestline EPoS users when having the interface to Deliverect enabled.
Deliverect is the channel manager that can connect to numerous online ordering platforms such as JustEat, Deliveroo, Flipdish and many more. They can also offer their own online ordering page.
How it works
Guestline EPoS is connected to Deliverect via an internet connection. You create new PLU/menu items in Guestline EPoS and then send them to Deliverect. You will then use Deliverect to build your online menus as well as several other options.
When an order is placed, by your customer online, it will first be processed by Deliverect and then collected by your Guestline EPoS system. When the order is collected by Guestline EPoS it is then processed much like an order entered by a user would be. It is added to the system and printed using the same configuration area as your printing already uses.
The order place by your customer is visible in a screen labelled Online Sales (which can be added to the main EPoS screen) and is visible in the right-hand menu column. The order should be completed once it has been delivered to your customer or transferred to your normal table plan once the order has been received.
Before you can carry out the instructions below you should already have signed an order with Guestline Ltd for the interface and completed a sign-up procedure with Deliverect. Guestline Professional Service will need to add the relevant settings to your system before you are able to connect to Deliverect.
Sending PLU’s to Deliverect
Introduction
To create menus, to be used online in Deliverect, you must first send your PLU items to Deliverect. You will already have been provided the Deliverect account and the relevant settings will have been added to your EPoS system.
Step One
Login to Guestline EPoS Back Office
Step Two
Click the buttons labelled “PLU Setup” and then “PLU Items”.
Step Three
Click the button (right) labelled “PLU Export”.
This will send all the PLU items you have set up to Deliverect. You will see a message box reading Export Complete
click OK and it is complete.
IMPORTANT - If you update any prices or create new PLU items you wish to send to Deliverect to be used in an Online Menu then repeat the process as desired.
Changing an Order’s Status
Introduction
When an order is received from online it is important that the order’s status is updated; for some channels this will then feedback to the customer, so they know what stage it is in.
There are several statuses; the first few are set automatically by Deliverect and then these are set by Guestline EPoS: Accepted, Printed and Preparing. There are two other statuses that the EPoS user needs to set on the EPoS system; these are “Pickup Ready” and “In Delivery”.
The EPoS users should be updating the statuses of the orders as they are being prepared and delivered to the customer. When you do this, you will be producing the final VAT receipt for the customer as well as finalising their bill.

Login to Guestline EPoS
Step Two
Click the button labelled “Online Sales”. This will have been added to the right-hand column of menu buttons.
Step Three
On the grid you will see a row per order, select the button column of “Ready for Pickup” on the order in question. If the order is being delivered straight to the customer then you can proceed to click the “In Delivery/Picked up” column.
You will see the green ticks added and the order will be removed from the grid with a final VAT receipt printed provided the order is fully paid. Please see the section Adding a payment if the orders are not paid online.
Adding a payment
Introduction
When an order is received from online it may have already paid but if it has not you will need to add a payment before you can close the bill.
You can add payments if the customer has picked up and order and is paying you in person. It may be the case that it is a room service order and you are going to transfer it to a bedroom bill; both are possible.

Login to Guestline EPoS
Step Two
Click the button labelled “Online Sales”. This will have been added to the right-hand column of menu buttons.
Step Three
On the grid you will see a row per order. There is a column labelled Balance, if this is not zero then it will be highlighted in Red with the amount owed by the customer.
Highlight the row of the order you wish to add a payment to.
Step Four
Press the “Take Payment” button in the bottom right corner of the screen. This will take you to your normal payment screen provided you have permission to access it.
Step Five
Make the payment or room transfer as normal. This will close that online order.
Moving the order to a table
Introduction
When an order is received from an online source it maybe the case that there are alterations need or additional items added to the order. If the order has come from a source that allows the entry of a table number, you may decide to move the online order on to the table in your table plan.
When moving the online order to the table plan it will then act the same as a normal order would when added to the EPoS by a user.
Please follow the steps below.

Login to Guestline EPoS
Step Two
Click the button labelled “Online Sales”. This will have been added to the right-hand column of menu buttons.
Step Three
On the grid you will see a row per order. Highlight the order you wish to move to your table plan.
Step Four
Click the button labelled “Transfer Table”
Step Five
Double Click/Double Tap the table you wish to move the order to and it will move the order
Viewing the Order
Introduction
If you would like to see more information about the online orders when they are placed, you can do this on screen.

Step Three
On the grid you will see a row per order, highlight the row in questions
Step Four
Click the button labelled “View Details”. You will then see the order that was placed, the customers name and any notes that were entered when the order was placed.
