Rate Plan Ceilings

A ceiling can be set against a Rate Plan to restrict the number of rooms you want to sell per day, i.e. a Sunday Saver break and you only ever want to sell 10 per Sunday.

Ceilings can be attached to multiple rates.

• Click New Group if required (used to file your ceiling).
• Enter the Code & Description.
  *Please note any coding needs to adhere to a maximum of 12 character, the code won’t recognize spaces, to create a space please select the underscore.
• Click Save.

• Click New Ceiling.
• Enter the Code & Description.

• Click Save.

Once saved, please select your ceiling to enter the criteria;

Select which rate plans you would like this ceiling to apply to. You can highlight multiple and select > icon to move these over to the ‘Selected Rate Plans’ section. To remove rate plans from the ceiling, select <

Enter the date range you wish to apply your ceilings to. Select pattern fill for a wide date range *Please note pattern fill has a maximum of 180 days. Then select refresh.

Once you have entered the criteria the following grid is visible. You will see your availability for the hotel and per room type.
You can set the ceiling for the number of rooms you wish to sell in the top box

This rate plan would now close out after 10 rooms have been sold.

You can also restrict the number of rooms sold by room type. Please select save.

IMPORTANT

• To show online correctly a value has to be placed against a room type, if that room type is not to be used then a 0 must be inputted.
• Adding a ceiling will NOT restrict how many rooms will show available on online channels (i.e. OTAs & your own website), it will simply restrict the number of individual reservations that can be booked if a ceiling is set.
