Insights is a data visualisation tool which gathers daily performance data from your PMS. It then presents it in dashboards and visual reports for quick, informed decision making, so you can spend time where it counts.
Covid-19 recovery
This report gives you a high level overview of your performance this year compared to last year. The net bookings chart adds up bookings created and bookings cancelled on a given day, to give you a net figure. We’ve then smoothed out the totals using a moving average to remove in-week fluctuations and help you spot trends. You can view this report by property, if you operate a group.
Managers Flash
This report is designed to give you a high level summary of group and property level performance for a given period. You can look forward 60 days and back 60 days, and compare to either the same days (Monday to Monday) or same dates (25th to 25th) last year. Each section of the report can be filtered by relevant dimensions – for example, you can filter bookings by channel, or booked revenue by market segment. You can export the underlying aggregated data if you like, to create your own reports in Excel, or to import into your data warehouse or lake on a daily basis.
- Bookings
This report gives you a detailed visual picture of your bookings performance for a given period. At group and property level you can see key metrics, like lead time by channel, and average lead time for a given stay date. You can filter the dashboard by channel, and include cancelled and no show bookings in the data if you choose. We pre-calculate your busiest and quietest days, to help you make staffing decisions. - Booked revenue
This report gives you a detailed visual overview of revenue on the books for a given period, 60 days forwards and back from the current day. You can see key metrics including ARR by stay date and booked revenue by channel and market segment compared to last year. A chart showing the revenue stream is helpful for understanding your analysis code breakdown, and can help you uncover interesting trends. You can filter by channel, market segment, revenue stream and of course by property. - Bedrooms
The bedrooms report helps you understand and visualise occupancy statistics for a selected period of time. You can see occupancy and room usage vs last year over time which can help you spot trends. We pre-calculate your highest and lowest occupancy dates too. You can filter by channel and by property.
Cancellations
The cancellations report helps you understand where your cancellations are coming from – which channel and market segment – and how much lost revenue is associated with them. You can learn at a glance whether your cancellations are for the near term or future and adjust marketing activity accordingly. All metrics are pre-calculated for you, and compared to the previous year.
Pickup
The pickup dashboard helps you understand where your sales come from, their value, and key metrics like ADR. You can see length of stay by channel, and bookings by arrival date. You can look back up to 60 days from the current date, and filter on channel and media source, which can help you understand the impact of marketing and distribution activity. If you prefer to also include bookings that were subsequently cancelled, to understand underlying performance, you can toggle to include cancellations and no shows.
- Revenue Pickup
This report enables you to dig deeper into the revenue you’ve created in any period within the last 60 days. Key metrics like ARR by creation date, and revenue by revenue stream help you understand the different commercial areas of your business and how they fit into the bigger picture. You can view this at group and property level, and filter by channel to visualise the impact of different marketing activities. Year on year (day to day, or date to date) comparison, and cancelled and no show toggles, help to complete the picture.
Guest Profile
The Guest Profile report gives you a visual view of your guests. Arranged by stay date, within the last or next 60 days, you can understand the attributes of guests over time. It’s based on the data you record within the PMS, so if you log nationality, country and language you can visualise all that data here. It can help you make better marketing decisions, and truly understand who is driving your business revenue.
All reports except Covid-19 Recovery have an export button, where you can export a single day of data. The export will produce a zipped pack of CSV files, containing an exact replica of the dataset used in the on-screen daily reports.
Insights refreshes the data daily as an overnight job at 3am UTC.
