How to create Market Segments

Market segments are attached to reservations or events to collate data for your reports. Market segments are used to breakdown the types of revenue by business type i.e. leisure. When a rate is selected and added to a reservation the market segment will be pre-defined, set within the rate plan. 

If you use Standard Conference & Banqueting a market segment code will show in both Rezlynx and Conference & Banqueting. If you use Advanced Conference & Banqueting, you need to select the codes to use in Conference & Banqueting.

Building a Market Segment Group

• Create 'New Group'
• Enter a 12-character max code (use an underscore for a space)
• Enter a description
• Select the Properties.
• Click Save.

Building a Market Segment:

• Create “New Market Segment"
• Enter a 12-character max code (use an underscore for a space)
• Select the Market Segment Group Code from the dropdown list
• Enter a description
• If it is to be included in Advanced Conference & Banqueting tick the box "Use In Conference & Banqueting"
• Select the Properties.
• Click Save.
