Restrictions set manually via Roomlynx cannot be removed from Rezlynx updates and will also not appear within Rezlynx restrictions. The following restrictions can be set in Roomlynx however, it is important to establish if the channel connected to the rate plan accept the restriction.

Closed Restriction

To set a 'Close' restriction, select 'Close' from the 'Restriction Type' drop-down menu.

Select the property to apply the restriction to.

Start/End Date: Enter the start date and end date that the restriction is to apply to.

Day of the week: Update the 'Days of the Week'; only the days of the week ticked will be affected.

Channel: Each Channel to be affected by the restriction should be moved, from the left hand 'Channel' window to the right-hand 'Channel' window.

Room Type: Each Room Type to be affected by the restriction should be moved, from the left-hand 'Room Type' window to the right-hand 'Room Type' window.

Rate Code: Each Rate to be affected by the restriction should be moved, from the left-hand 'Rate Code' window to the right-hand 'Rate Code' window.

Click the 'Save' button and the restriction will be saved; all the relevant channels/room types/ rates will be updated with the restriction.

Once saved​ the restriction will be displayed on the Restrictions Grid

 

Closed to Arrivals

Closed to arrivals restricts when guests will be able to Arrive at the hotel

To set a 'Closed to Arrivals' restriction, select 'Closed to Arrivals' from the 'Restriction Type' drop-down menu.

Start/End Date: Enter the start date and end date that the restriction is to apply to.

Days of the week: Update the 'Days of the Week; only the days of the week ticked will be affected.

Channel: Each Channel to be affected by the restriction should be moved, from the left hand 'Channel' window to the right-hand 'Channel' window.

Room Type: Each Room Type to be affected by the restriction should be moved, from the left-hand 'Room Type' window to the right-hand 'Room Type' window.

Rate Code: Each Rate to be affected by the restriction should be moved, from the left-hand 'Rate Code' window to the right-hand 'Rate Code' window.

Click the 'Save' button and the restriction will be saved; all the relevant channels/room types/ rates will be updated with the restriction.

Once saved the restriction will be displayed on the Restrictions Grid

 

Minimum Length Of Stay

To set a 'Minimum Length of Stay' restriction, select 'Minimum LOS' from the 'Restriction Type' drop-down menu.

Value: Enter the required minimum length of stay in the 'Value' field.

Start/End Date: Enter the start date and end date that the restriction is to apply to.

Update the 'Days of the Week; only the days of the week ticked will be affected.

Channel: Each Channel to be affected by the restriction should be moved, from the left hand 'Channel' window to the right-hand 'Channel' window.

Room Type: Each Room Type to be affected by the restriction should be moved, from the left-hand 'Room Type' window to the right-hand 'Room Type' window.

Rate Code: Each Rate to be affected by the restriction should be moved, from the left-hand 'Rate Code' window to the right-hand 'Rate Code' window.

Click the 'Save' button and the restriction will be saved; all the relevant channels/room types/ rates will be updated with the restriction.

To reverse a 'minimum length of stay' restriction, enter '0' into the 'Value' field across the date range.

Once saved the restriction can be viewed on the Restrictions Grid 

 

Open Restriction

​To set an 'Open' and reverse a close, select 'Open' from the 'Restriction Type' drop-down menu.

Start/End Date: Enter the start date and end date that the restriction is to apply to.

Update the 'Days of the Week; only the days of the week ticked will be affected.

Channel: Each Channel to be affected by the restriction should be moved, from the left hand 'Channel' window to the right-hand 'Channel' window.

Room Type: Each Room Type to be affected by the restriction should be moved, from the left-hand 'Room Type' window to the right-hand 'Room Type' window.

Rate Code: Each Rate to be affected by the restriction should be moved, from the left-hand 'Rate Code' window to the right-hand 'Rate Code' window.

Click the 'Save' button and the restriction will be saved; all the relevant channels/room types/ rates will be updated with the restriction.​

 

Open To Arrivals​​

To set an 'Open to Arrivals' restriction and reverse a Closed to Arrivals, select 'Open to Arrivals' from the 'Restriction Type' drop-down menu.

Start/End Date: Enter the start date and end date that the restriction is to apply to.

Update the 'Days of the Week; only the days of the week ticked will be affected.

Channel: Each Channel to be affected by the restriction should be moved, from the left hand 'Channel' window to the right-hand 'Channel' window.

Room Type: Each Room Type to be affected by the restriction should be moved, from the left-hand 'Room Type' window to the right-hand 'Room Type' window.

Rate Code: Each Rate to be affected by the restriction should be moved, from the left-hand 'Rate Code' window to the right-hand 'Rate Code' window.

Click the 'Save' button and the restriction will be saved; all the relevant channels/room types/ rates will be updated with the restriction.

 

​Stay through

Currently, Guestline Distribution/Roomlynx does NOT support Stay Throughs, meaning that even if the channel offer the type of restriction Roomlynx cannot send it to the channel to apply​

Open to Departures

To set an 'Open to Departures' restriction, select 'Open to Departures' from the 'Restriction Type' drop-down menu.

Start/End Date: Enter the start date and end date that the restriction is to apply to.

Update the 'Days of the Week; only the days of the week ticked will be affected.

Channel: Each Channel to be affected by the restriction should be moved, from the left hand 'Channel' window to the right-hand 'Channel' window.

Room Type: Each Room Type to be affected by the restriction should be moved, from the left-hand 'Room Type' window to the right-hand 'Room Type' window.​
