Below are a list of common errors and their solutions/information on what to do next;
Single Use Rates
Most common error on Booking.com
The property needs to contact Booking.com through their extranet and request that Single Use Rates be activated for all room types. This is irrelevant of whether the rate is the same for the min and max occupancy of the room. If the rate is the same Booking.com will just show one against the max occupancy of the room but it needs to received both.
Restriction Status: the following updates were not done: "Did not set Close Room 'Twin Room' for Rate Category 'Standard Rate' because of remaining Minimum Contracted Rooms on 201104-19"
- This is referring to Channel Base Allocations. (Base allocation: contractual agreement between the hotel and the online travel agent to sell a specified number of rooms). Roomlynx has sent a ‘closed’ update for a room type that the hotel has a base allocation applied to. Booking.com will refuse the close and continue to send reservations until the allocation is reached - which is why the error occurs. It is up to the hotel to contact Booking.com to ask their account manager to discuss overriding this agreement.
RatePlanCode '56690' not active for InvTypeCode '12529'
- Caused by a room or rate conversion not matching the room and rate details set by Booking.com. To resolve, download Booking.com room and rate details and update Roomlynx. Contact hotel before making any changes to conversions
Error - Channel NOT updated. Please contact Roomlynx support for advice on how to deal with this error. Failure to take any action may lead to over bookings!
Error Message: Could not connect to database dsn 'dbi:mysql:host=avmdb- OR
Error Message: RestrictionStatus: internal error (database error) please try again later
These errors usually occur when the channel has been ‘temporarily unavailable’ or when they have had an outage.These errors therefore can be cleared. To establish whether the channel is still down check the last timestamp of the processed (successful) and it the timestamp is newer than the error then there is no longer an outage. Resync to be sent only for dates specified in update error
Reservation does not have payment card details.
Reservation Modification received from Booking.com. Only will be seen if the hotel has PCILynx. Booking.com does not send through credit card details on modifications as details will have already been sent through on the original reservation.
Advise hotel to check the modification against original reservation. Update error can then be removed from monitoring page.
