WIHP (Metasearch) Room and Rate Self Mapping

This article will enable you to manage the mapping of your own rooms and rates between Rezynx, Roomlynx and WIHP (Metasearch).

***The rate plan and room type must be created at WIHP (Metasearch) before mapping in Guestline Distribution***

 

Step 1

In Rezlynx PMS - Distribution > Connection Configuration > Mapping

OR

In Distribution (Roomlynx) - Channels > Channel Settings > Mapping

Adding a Room Type

1. Select the correct Property from the drop-down menu
2. Select WIHP (Metasearch) from the Channel drop-down menu
3. Select Room from the Conversion Type drop-down menu
4. Click Add
   
   
5. Select the Rezlynx room to be mapped from the PMS Value drop-down list;
6. Enter the WIHP (Metasearch) room code in the Channel Value
7. Click Save
8. Repeat points 4 to 7 until all conversions are added 

• Ensure that a ‘Default’ conversion is ticked. This will ensure any reservations on un-mapped rooms can still enter the system.

Adding a Rate Plan

1. Select Rate from the Conversion Type drop-down menu
2. Click Add
   
   
3. Select the Rezlynx rate plan to be mapped from the PMS Rate drop-down list
4. Enter the WIHP (Metasearch) rate code in the Channel Value
   
5. Click Save
6. Repeat points 2 to 5 until all conversions are added 

Note: Room Availability, Restrictions, Rates will only update if the WIHP (Metasearch) room code and WIHP (Metasearch) rate code values are correct and matching the WIHP (Metasearch) extranet

• Ensure that a ‘Default’ conversion is ticked. This will ensure any reservations on un-mapped rates can still enter the system.

Once Mapping has been completed in Roomlynx Conversions, the following Steps MUST BE FOLLOWED to ensure all Rates and Availability update successfully from Guestline Distribution to WIHP!

 

Step 2

In Rezlynx PMS - System >Tools > Re-Sync

1. Under Roomlynx, Rate Related, change Nights to 365
2. Tick Flex Rates. From the drop-down menu select the rate(s) you have mapped.
   
   Note: rate plans will only show in Flex Rates if they are using a Flex Table. This step can be skipped for rate plans using a static Rate Table.
   
   
3. Tick Restrictions. From the drop-down menu select the rate(s) you have mapped. (replicate for Ceilings if in place)
   
   
   
   
4. Click Confirm 

Note:

• Re-Sync's should only be performed when a new room and/or rate plan is mapped and for only that Rate Plan.

Step 3

In Distribution (Roomlynx) - Configuration> Rates > Rates Per Day

1. Select the mapped rates and ensure the rates are correct

• Choose the Channel i.e. WIHP (Metasearch)
• Untick All Rate Plans and tick the rate required
• Click Display

Note:

• Apply Price Variance if required 

Step 4

In Distribution (Roomlynx) - Configuration> Restrictions > Restrictions Grid

1. Select WIHP (Metasearch) as the channel and ensure that the new rates are displaying with correct Availability and Restrictions.

Note: 

• Apply Closure by Rate in Roomlynx if required
• Apply Threshold Closure Roomlynx if required

Step 5

In Distribution (Roomlynx) - Channels > Resynchronisation > Resynchronisation

1. Select today as the start date and the end date as 365 days in the future
2. Select WIHP (Metasearch)
3. Tick Inventory, Rates and Restrictions
4. Highlight the rate(s) you have just mapped
5. Click Start Resync

Step 6

In Rezlynx PMS - Home > Distribution Monitoring (further details here)

OR

In Distribution (Roomlynx) - Monitoring > Monitoring > Monitoring

 

Old Monitoring 

1. Ensure the interface is updating without red or amber lights on Rates & Availability.
   Note: check the ‘Last Active’ timestamp to make sure the updates you have just sent have been sent to WIHP (Metasearch) . If this timestamp does not show the current time, then the updates are still processing.
   
   
   
   
2. Once the updates have completed, check that Rates, Availability and Restrictions have updated as expected to the WIHP (Metasearch) Extranet
3. The rooms and rates are now mapped.

 

New Monitoring

1. Ensure the interface is updating without red or amber lights on Availability.
   Note: check the ‘Last Updated’ timestamp to make sure the updates you have just sent have been sent to WIHP (Metasearch). If this timestamp does not show the current time, then the updates are still processing.
   
2. Once the updates have completed, check that Rates, Availability and Restrictions have updated as expected to the WIHP (Metasearch) Extranet
3. The rooms and rates are now mapped.
   
   
   

Note: If rates, availability, and restrictions are showing correctly on WIHP (Metasearch) extranet, but not on their website, then please contact your WIHP (Metasearch) Support Team for assistance.
