Internet Explorer Web Browser End of Life

As part of our continuous improvement programme we will be ending support for Internet Explorer (IE) for Rezlynx. This includes version 4 of the Rezlynx Browser that is also based on IE.

Why is Guestline taking this action?

Microsoft has announced they will no longer support Internet Explorer from August 2021. Moving to more standards-compliant browsers will result in a far superior user experience and in some cases has proven to be 60% faster. Work carried out over recent months to move away from Silverlight & Flash (which have reached End Of Life and are not supported in Google Chrome) was preparation for this announcement.

When will support cease?

Rezlynx Browser Version 4 is no longer supported and has been superseded by version 5.

Internet Explorer 1st January 2021

After this date, log-on to Rezlynx using Internet Explorer (including Rezlynx Browser v4) will actively be blocked.

What replaces Internet Explorer as the preferred browser for Rezlynx?

Google Chrome or Rezlynx Browser version 5.

What action do I need to take?

If you use the Rezlynx Browser, check in the bottom right corner that your 'Rezlynx Web Version' is 5+.

If you still have version 4 of the Browser please go to 'System>Check for Updates' at the top of the Browser. If you are unable to upgrade to version 5 of the Rezlynx Browser please contact Guestline Support.

(Please note that if you are part of a corporate group your IT department will have been contacted to ensure upgrades of the Rezlynx Browser are scheduled).
