Are we able to update multiple rate plans?
Yes, you can update multiple rate plans. The mapping details for each hotel will be sent by Hotel Direct.
Does the channel used derived rates? If so, can we still send restrictions?
Hotel Direct does not used derived rates.
Are there any rate plans we can't map to? If so, how will we find the rate code you will send in the reservation so we can add a non-managed rate conversion
No - there will be no rate plans that cannot be mapped to.
Are there any Special Offers, non-managed rates, commission cut rates etc. that we need to be made aware of?

Does the channel have any membership rates plans that we need to be aware of?

Does the channel insist the hotel uploads the currency for which the hotel is in or can the hotel choose which currency?
No
Availability
It was highlighted that during testing, if a room type was fully booked and then became available, we would send the physical number of rooms available (i.e. 5 Doubles) and send an Open message. As Hotel Direct deal with both Allocation and Freesale, due to limitations of their system, even though we had sent 5 Doubles, their system interpreted the Open message as a Freesale open and updated their system to 99. Due to the potential that this could cause overbookings at the hotel, a workaround is implemented so that when we send an Open message after a room has been closed, their system will open but just with 1 room available. As soon as any availability update is sent again from Roomlynx for this date, this will override the 1 room with the correct availability (i.e. 5 Doubles).
How do we see the availability on the channel?
Availability can be seen within the extranet. When you log into the extranet, the first tab that is visible is the Inventory tab and this lists room availability for each room type
It is a push connection for this channel.
