This article covers the DKIM configuration, the purpose of which is covered in the Email Spoofing Overview, please read that article before proceeding with the below.
Log into Rezlynx and navigate to ‘System>System>ini Settings – Email’…
If the ‘Show this ‘From’ address when templated email are sent’ is empty, this indicates that email spoofing MIGHT not be applied for your site. However, it is worth noting that some users could have applied their own ‘From’ address as part of their user If the Central Reservations (CRS) module is enabled there is also the ability to add a masked email address within the CRS Group ini Settings page.
Once a from address has been inserted and the page updated, additional information will show as follows… (the below are example email addresses, please insert your own specific email addresses into the relevant fields):
IMPORTANT: If a from address was already inserted but the DNS Entries grid is not displaying, please press the ‘Update’ button at the bottom of the page.
Using the information from the Host and Data columns of the grid, create the 3 cname records in your Server (for example GoDaddy).
IMPORTANT: In order to complete the DKIM configuration, approximately 24hrs after the changes have been made, you MUST return to Rezlynx and refresh the ini Settings Email page…
If the page appears as above with a ‘Success’ message, in green, then the DKIM records have been set-up and your emails will be sent using the supplied ‘From’ email address.
If you don’t see a ‘Success’ message please ensure you have configured your DNS Server correctly and you have waited the prescribed amount of time before contacting Guestline Support. Depending on your DNS provider, the success message may take as little as a few minutes to appear, typically the change should happen in less than 48 hours, but some DNS providers will not confirm the change until up to a week later. If you have an IT team, they should be able to advise you on how long the change should take.
