To close a period in Guestline EPoS and ensure all till units have posted their revenue to the Rezlynx PMS system, follow these steps:
Step 1: Check for an Open Period
- Login to EPOS with your pin code.
- Select 'X Read' on the till.
- You’ll be prompted to enter your pin code again for security verification.
- This will display the current period’s figures, including the date and time the period was opened. This snapshot helps confirm if the period is still open and if revenue needs to be posted to Rezlynx.
Step 2: Close the Open Period
- Login to EPOS with your pin code.
- Navigate to the 'Z Read' option.
- Enter your staff pin code again to verify you have access to close the period.
- Confirm Closing the Period:
- You’ll be prompted with the message, "Are you sure you want to close this period?"
- Select ‘Yes’ to confirm, which will close the open period and post the till’s revenue to Rezlynx.
Note: You need to perform this process individually on each till to ensure that revenue from all devices is posted and all periods are closed. This will ensure your EPOS system is up-to-date, and all data is correctly reflected in the Rezlynx PMS.
