If you use Windcave PDQ machines on your EPOS terminals, you may need to restart them from time to time, usually if they have been up and running for some time. If you encounter issues with your Windcave PDQ connecting to, or posting into either Rezlynx or Guestline EPOS, please follow the steps below before contacting the Guestline Support Team.
USB Connection Type
- Restart the PDQ machine (hold clear and function), put it on the base and wait for the "waiting for init" message.
- Take out USB from till.
- Wait 10 seconds. IMPORTANT!
- Plug USB back into the terminal.
- The PDQ machine will load back up on its own and be usable – On the PDQ screen, it will say: “wait for init” -> “processing” -> “EFTPOS”.
- Upon the PDQ machine saying “EFTPOS”, this means the machine is ready for use - staff should be able to enter a pin and then pick up a table.
Ethernet Connection Type
- Restart the PDQ machine (hold clear and function), put it on the base and wait for the "waiting for init" message.
- Unplug the network cable until the device says "ETHERNET DISCONNECTED"
- Plug the cable back in and wait for PPQ to come online.
- When online, the PDQ machine will say “EFTPOS”. This means the machine is ready for use - staff should be able to enter a pin and then pick up a table.
