A checklist to guide you when moving your till to a new location within your property.
Pre-move considerations

Network point:
Ensure that the new location has a working and tested network connection. -
Space and power:
The new area should have adequate space and power sockets for the till and any attached peripherals. -
Revenue reporting:
Keep in mind that the till will still report revenue based on the original setup and revenue centre. This could affect revenue reports in both the till system and Rezlynx PMS, so factor this into your financial reporting.
Steps to move your till
- Safely power down the till by selecting ‘Shut down terminal’ from the menu or using the physical power button on the till screen.
- Switch off the power adapters or power outlets for the till and its peripherals before unplugging any devices.
Note: If you are unable to move the peripherals (such as the printer, cash drawer, or PDQ machine) with the till, make a note of which ports these peripherals were connected to. This ensures proper reconfiguration in the new location.
- Relocate the till to the new spot. If possible, bring the original peripherals (printer, cash drawer, PDQ machine) to the same location.
