Overview
Following on from customer feedback we have made a change to the Kitchen Messaging functionality.
Previously you were only able to add one message to an item. The message length was quite long so you were able to add the detail that you wanted however it did require most of the message to by typed. This was inefficient.
You can now add multiple messages to a single (or multiple) item(s) which will printing on the order tickets across multiple lines.
How it works
- Add the items to your order.
Once you have logged in to Guestline EPoS add the items that you are going to order.
- Select the item(s) you wish to attach a message to
On the list of items that you have added to the order, select the item(s) you want to attach a message to. You will see a tick in the box on the items row.
- Go to Attach Message
Press the Attach Message button and you will open the screen that allows you to add the messages to the items you have selected.
- Select the messages to attach!
Select each of the messages you want to attach. You will see each of them added to the text box at the top of the screen with a comma between them as well as the message’s row being highlighted.
If you have made a mistake you can select the message again and it will remove it from the list and un-highlight the row.
- Type a message to attach!
If you tap in the text box you will open a keyboard, type the message you want to add. You will see this added to the list in the text box, you will also see it in the Last Ten User Defined Messages and its row highlighted.
You can select the message to remove it from the list.
Activation & Configuration
All our customers will have this feature available when build version 5.15 onward is deployed to them.
