Can anyone use SSO?
Yes. Anyone in your organisation who currently has access to Rezlynx PMS should use SSO.
Can I setup new staff directly in SSO?
Yes. If the new user has a non-shared email address, there is a user management page where you can view and edit your users and their permissions. If the new team member doesn't have a non-shared email address, the account will need to be created in Rezlynx, and then the user will follow the onboarding pop up message.
How do I reset my SSO password?
If you have signed up using an email, start the log in process, and when the box appears to enter your email address, you will see a forgotten password link/option. If you have signed up to SSO with a username, you will need a Superuser on site to reset your password. Alternatively Support will be able to help.
When a Rezlynx user is setup to use SSO, what user access rights will they have?
If the user self-onboards (the preferred migration method) they will have the same rights as they currently have. If you choose instead to create a new user for them, you will be able to assign the correct permissions at group and site level on the user management screen.
When a Roomlynx user is setup to use SSO, what user access rights will they have?
If the user self-onboards (the preferred migration method) they will have the same rights as they currently have. If you choose instead to create a new user for them, you will be able to assign the correct permissions at group and site level on the user management screen. Please note: you must have a unique email address to use Roomlynx with SSO. The username only process will not be sufficient.
If the user has access to multiple Rezlynx & Roomlynx sites within a Group, will they be able to see all the same sites as they currently have access to?
Yes. This can be viewed or edited on the user management screen. Sometimes users have separate login details for different sites. In these cases they will need to go through the onboarding process once per site.
I’m a Revenue Manager across multiple groups, will I have access to all sites under one log on?
This is possible, if the user self-onboards for each site.
How will I control who can setup new SSO users?
Those in the permissions group Admins are able to change user management permissions for other users.
Should I continue to access Rezlynx via the Browser or use the Guestline Home URL?
If you are a front desk user, and you need to use interfaces such as key cutting software, you will need to continue to access Rezlynx via the Browser (using the SSO Log On option). If you have our Insights reporting suite, you should use the Guestline Home URL.
What is a Tenant?
A tenant is a group of sites, managed under a single Group ID.
If a user doesn’t already have access to Roomlynx but the settings are enabled on SSO, will that user then be able to log in?
The user will need to be added to a Roomlynx group on the user management screen, then yes.
What happens when a member of staff leaves who has an SSO account; will we have to delete their information in multiple places?
Yes. Deletion of users in SSO is coming soon.
My site or group uses Guestline SSO. How do I grant or revoke a user's access to specific areas of Rezlynx PMS, including add-on modules like Advanced C&B?
User permissions are still managed in Rezlynx PMS using "User Groups". These control access to specific areas of Rezlynx functionality, and/or specific sites in your group (if relevant)
Assignment, re-assignment and removal of users from these groups is accomplished in Guestline SSO user management. You can assign users to either Group-level or Property-level user permission groups that exist in Rezlynx.
I'm trying to update a colleague's access to certain areas of PMS functionality, but Rezlynx is telling me I have to manage their user using Guestline SSO. How do I do this?
First, while in Rezlynx PMS user management, make sure that an appropriate user group with the desired permissions exists (at either group or site level).
Then, in Guestline SSO user management, access the user record you wish to amend. Update their group or site role to the required choice.
I have an existing user, already setup in SSO, who now needs access to Advanced C&B, where do I give them this access?
The coordinator option is still located in Rezlynx user management. Select the user from the list, in select the ticket box.
I also access Rezlynx Mobile, will my SSO account allow me access?
Not at the moment. You will need to use your old Rezlynx Username and Password to access Rezlynx Mobile.
I have a warning message telling me my password is due to expire, should I change my SSO password?
No. This is a legacy message for your old Rezlynx username and password, this will be removed in future development releases.
I have a user who has signed up with a username, not an email address, how do they reset their own password?
They won't be able to, however superusers on site can reset their password in SSO User Management, on first log in, the user will be asked to reset and change the password accordingly.
I want to sign up, but the pop up to register no longer appears?
This will appear on your first log in of the day, if you dismiss the pop up, it will not appear again for another 24hrs.
Can I opt out of SSO sign up?
SSO is the way we will be asking all users to log in, as this will unlock many more features in future development releases. We encourage all of our customers to sign up.
When I log in, I'm logged in as someone else?
