Onboarding
A popup screen appeared when I tried to login. What do I do?
If you would like more information on the onboarding process, please click here. You can only skip the onboarding screen up to 5 times.
Can I edit the username or email address of a Platform/SSO user?
For security, we do not support editing a username or email address. If you require to do so, we recommend creating a new SSO user. Make sure you add the same permissions and delete the previous user.
When I log in, I'm logged in as someone else?
Like in any other online service and for your own safety and privacy, we recommend using the Log out button when you are moving away from the computer. This is to ensure that no one else can use your account without your knowledge. By logging out this will ensure you your session has ended.
If you are using the Rezlynx Browser, you can configure automatically logout in the dedicated settings.
We would also recommend that you do NOT save your password if you are presented with this option.
Can I use my SSO account to access Rezlynx Mobile?
Not at the moment. You will need to create an additional legacy style Rezlynx Username and Password to access Rezlynx Mobile.
Please ensure you do not use these Mobile credentials on any platform other than Rezlynx Mobile as it will prompt you onboard with SSO.
On how to create a PMS user on on a Single site click here; for a Group site click here.
How do I reset my SSO password?
If you have signed up using an email, please click here. If you have signed up to SSO with a username, you will need a Superuser/Administrator on site to reset your password – find detailed instructions here. Alternatively, Support will be able to help.
Should I continue to access Rezlynx via the Browser or use the Guestline Home URL?
If you are a front desk user, and you need to use interfaces such as key cutting software, you will need to continue to access Rezlynx via the Browser (using the SSO Log On option). If you have our Insights reporting suite, you should use the Guestline Home URL.
If the user has access to multiple Rezlynx & Roomlynx sites within a Group, will they be able to see all the same sites as they currently have access to?
When you onboard, all the multiple siteIDs you have access to within a group should be under your onboarded account. IF the siteIDs are not under the same group OR if your legacy PMS username was different on those sites, access to them will have to be given manually. Instruction on how to provide that access can be found here. Alternatively, Support will be able to help.
Access and Permissions
My site or group wants to create and edit detailed levels of permissions for what certain users can or can’t access and do on Rezlynx. How do I do this.
To set specific and tailored permissions for PMS Rezlynx, you should create a new Global or Local Group on the User Setup section of the PMS.
After this has been set up, you can add or remove users from those Group or Site roles through the SSO platform – you can find detailed instructions here.
What if I want to remove those permissions from a user?
See the point above.
Please note that if a user doesn’t have any Group or Site role assigned on the SSO users management platform, they won’t be able to access Rexlynx for that Group or Site.
How can I see what access and detailed right a user has?
Check previous questions on how to create
I have an existing user, already setup in SSO, who now needs access to Advanced C&B, where do I give them this access?
The Coordinator option is still located in Rezlynx user management. Select the user from the list, in select the ticket box.
How will I control who can setup new SSO users?
Those in the permissions group Admins are able to change user management permissions for other users.
When a Rezlynx user is setup to use SSO, what user access rights will they have?
If the user self-onboards (the preferred migration method) they will have the same rights as they currently have. If you choose instead to create a new user for them, you will be able to assign the correct permissions at Group and Site level on the SSO user management screen.
If a user didn’t have previous access to Roomlynx, but I enabled Distribution on the SSO platform, will that user then be able to access Roomlynx/Distribution?
Yes, if this is enabled, the user will gain access to this service.
How can I provide Roomlynx/Distribution access through SSO?
You can check the instructions here.
Can I setup new staff directly in SSO?
Yes, new staff should have their accounts created directly on the SSO platform (except for Rezlynx Mobile, where you should still create an account on User Setup on the PMS (see above question in the onboarding section regarding Rezlynx Mobile)).
See instructions on how to create SSO users here.
As a Supervisor I can no longer override standard users access where elevated access is needed
This is correct, and something we are investigating, however, for now, you will need to log out and back in again to perform the override with your own access.
