Paylink - Overview

A PayLink or Link for Payment allows you to send a guest a digital link to pay a deposit for upcoming bedroom booking reservations within Rezlynx. This functionality is available for Bedroom bookings, Entry level Conference and Banqueting Function bookings and Advance Conference & Banqueting Events.

There are 2 types of link available;

• Manual Paylink
• Auto Paylink (Bedrooms Only)

Manual PayLinks can be created on the Guarantee page of a reservation and the user can determine the specific Value & Due Date. 

By clicking on 'New Paylink', the user will be able to configure the Paylink and select the value they wish to charge and when they want this to be paid by:

The amount will default to the remaining balance on that reservation, however this can be removed and overtyped to a value of your choosing.

Once created, the Paylink will appear as below but hasn't yet been sent to the customer. If any corrections need to be made, you'll need to delete the Paylink and recreate.

The 'Copy Link' functionality will allow for the Paylink URL to be copied and pasted, should you wish to send this directly to the customer however this is also something that can be performed via the 'send email' button.

Pressing this will bring up the email template that the customer will see once sent. 

The template itself is currently hard coded but will populate with your hotel's logo and theme. The customer will clearly see the amount that needs to be paid and will be directed to make payment before the expiry of the link.

In the 'Send To' on the Left, you'll be able to add any email of your choosing. So, if your customer has an alternative email or someone else in the party needs to receive the link, it can be sent to them directly instead of just going to the main contact named on the reservation

Auto PayLinks reduces effort on the part of the hotel staff meaning that users no longer need to create a PayLink for every booking. With a simple one-off task of adding the AutoPayLink tag (%AUTOPAYLINK%) to your confirmation templates, the confirmations received by guests will include a AutoPayLink URL. When the guest selects this link it will load the landing page which will reflect the remaining balance of the booking in real-time.

The AutoPaylink tag can also be hyperlinked behind text, as seen in the below screenshot where we've hyperlinked it behind 'clicking here'

This can be then sent from a reservation by going to the 3 dots (bottom right of main screen) > templates:

Once received, the customer will receive the email and open the Paylink - is this presented in exactly the same format as the Manual Paylink.

With both Paylinks, if the guest then performs a successful transaction users in Rezlynx will then see the following against the booking;

• ‘Paid’ PayLink entry associated with the booking
• Deposit will be added
• Payment Token will be captured and linked to the booking
• Booking status will be updated.

If you’ve already signed-up to GuestPay you will already have PayLinks functionality available and you should see the ‘PayLink Overview’ option within the main Rezlynx navigation system (Guest Journey > Billing > PayLink Overview).
