When a Payment or Deposit is added it uses the wrong Payment Type. How can I fix this?

If the Payment or Deposit is being added by PayLink, GuestStay or the NEW Payment Gateway Panel in Rezlynx, then navigate to 'System>System>ini Settings - Payment Gateway Config'. Your user account must be enrolled in SSO and be a member of the ADMINS user group in order to access this area.

Please note that mapping is required for both ECOM and MOTO transaction types.

If the Payment or Deposit is being added by GuestPay Chip n Pin, the above will also take you to the correct area, but please make sure you click 'GuestPay Chip n Pin' on the left of the screen.

At the time of publishing Payments added by DBM and Roomlynx use the Payment Type mapping in Roomlynx. This will at some point be migrated to use Payment Configuration.

I am changing the Pay Config but it doesn't appear to do anything?

Make sure that you're using the 'Payment Gateway' panel on the Reservation Guarantee page and not the outgoing 'Secure Trading' panel. If using the 'Secure Trading' panel please use the configuration in the ini Settings>Security area.

Rezlynx no longer allows me to choose the profile during the transaction flow?

This was a feature of the older implementation. It was discovered that given the selections users most often made, it was possible to automate the selection. The logic now uses the Booker Profile, but if there is no Booking it will use the Guest Profile.

Where is the option to Print a transaction?

Data showed that this option was hardly ever used. Therefore it has been removed and is no longer supported.

Why am I asked to complete a Reason Code when taking a Payment from an existing transaction?

Changes implemented with the new(ish) PSD2 legislation mean that this is now required. It will help to improve the success rate of authorisations and reduce the likelihood of chargebacks.

Why do I see 2 gateway panels in Rezlynx?

This is likely because we've started to enable the new 'Payment Gateway' panel. The outgoing Secure Trading panel will be disabled. If you would like this disabled now, please contact Guestline Support.

Where is the shortcut to copy the transaction reference?

This has not been implemented as part of the new Payment Gateway implementation. Instead you can now click on the transaction and it will navigate you to the Payment Gateway Portal.

When I copy a reservation the Gateway Transaction no longer copies to the newly created reservation?

This functionality has not been implemented as part of the new Payment Gateway implementation.

Why can I no longer perform a Guarantee in Rezlynx?

Our analysis showed that feature was very rarely used. It also makes little sense to perform unauthenticated guarantees that are open to Chargebacks. As result this feature has been removed.

Can I send our customers a link so that they can pay instead of taking card details over the phone?

Yes. You need to purchase GuestPay. Please contact your account manager to discuss this.
