During log-on to Rezlynx some users will be presented with the following pop-up...
You will see this pop-up if you are an SSO Admin user.
The purpose of this form is 2 fold. Firstly to check that the mapping currently in place is correct and secondly, on submission, to ensure that this payment type mapping is used when successful Payment Transactions occur.
What is Payment Type Mapping?
When a card payment is successfully processed the system will automatically attempt to add that payment as a deposit to Rezlynx. For example, a booking is received from a 3rd party Online Travel Agent. A VISA card is supplied and payment is taken. That payment must also be added as a deposit to the booking, however a valid Rezlynx Payment Type must be used. Quite often a single generic Payment Type might be used. For example 'PCILYNX'. If this is the case then only the 'Default' entries on the form need to be completed.
What is the difference between ECOM and MOTO transactions?
ECOM (Ecommerce) transactions are those where the card holder is directly interacting with the Payment Page. This would include Guestline DBM, GuestPay PayLink and GuestStay.
MOTO (Mail Order and Telephone Order) transactions are those where the card holder is NOT interacting with the page. Examples are card details entered into Rezlynx as part of a Telephone call, Merchant Initiated Transactions using a Credential on File or Cards processed by Roomlynx that have been received from a 3rd party OTA.
What happens once I press submit?
Once a user has confirmed that the Payment Type Mapping is correct, that configuration will then be used for all successful Payment Transactions when adding a deposit.
(Note that this mapping is not used for Deposits added where no card payment was transacted by Guestline systems).
What if I make a mistake?
Once the form has been submitted the mapping will be used immediately. However, the mapping can be corrected by accessing the Payment Gateway Configuration page. This can be accessed from the 'Cogs' icon on the Payment Gateway panel on the reservation guarantee page. Alternatively this can also be accessed from the ini Settings page within Rezlynx.
