Guests can now have a better understanding of hotel locations with the new map view functionality in our DBM booking engine!
The map view allows guests to quickly see the location of multiple hotels, making it easier to compare and choose the best option for their needs and it also provides a quick reference to local landmarks and attractions, helping guests to better plan their trip.
By clicking on a hotel on the map, guests can see the details of it and access its reservation page directly from there.
This new functionality is designed to help hoteliers increase their conversion rates and reservations and to help guests make better decisions.

How can this be enabled?
Please contact ProfessionalServices@guestline.com with your Google Map Key and you will be contacted with a date for go-live.
Does this have a cost for the customers?
Yes, Google Maps charges every time a map has been loaded. More information about that can be seen here. There is no cost from Guestline for this feature.
Why is the hotel's location not accurate in the map?
We use the latitude/longitude configuration to show the hotels on the map, or the hotel's address if the latitude/longitude isn't provided. Please make sure latitude/longitude are properly configured to ensure your hotel is shown in the right location.
How can I create a Google Maps key?

You will need to create a billing account, add a payment method and this will create a key for the Google Maps API services, this is the key required to enable this functionality.
